Member Programs

Please call us if you need more information on any of these or if you have another Making A Difference donation idea.

Jeans 4 Teens

We have the “Jeans For Teens” Program. We were able to partner with a local businessman to obtain matching dollars, which allows the program to continue. We meet with local Non-Profits to determine needy youth; they are matched with volunteers who met at two local stores and have a $100 shopping spree three weeks prior to school starting; the youth had to purchase at least one pair of jeans as well as other school appropriate clothing.

Reading Ripples

United Way recently donated nearly 3,000 Children’s books to local Libraries in coordination with Dr. Seuss’ Birthday and Read Across America Day. This is called United Way’s Reading Ripples Project. Anyone from High School or College needing a volunteer project or anyone interested from a local company, store, office, is welcome to place a box in their location and collect items as well to HELP OTHERS.

Luggage and Laptop Distributions

We also collect lightly used luggage for a Member Agency’s teen clients and laptops to be used by a myriad of Member and Non-Member Agencies.

Tag Days

Clearfield Area United Way has card-stock Restaurant Logo’s in the shape of small T-Shirts for fundraisers – these are the type that patrons write their names on and a donation of $1 is made for each. Then, they are hung throughout the establishment.
